The First Nations International Fellowships and Partnerships Grants Program is an initiative by the Australian government to enhance the participation of First Nations Australians in international engagements. The program provides funding to organisations to send delegations of up to six Fellows or Partners to participate in international meetings or collaborations. In the fiscal year 2024-2025, a total of $650,000 is available, split evenly between fellowships and partnerships.
- Fellowships: Enhance the number of First Nations Australians participating in international meetings.
- Partnerships: Build the capacity of First Nations Australians to establish sustainable partnerships across the Indo-Pacific.
$325,000 allocated for fellowships and $325,000 for partnerships. Up to $80,000 per project per applicant.
Fund Details:
The program aims to:
- Provide practical support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for international engagement.
- Facilitate participation in international meetings or collaborations.
- Strengthen sustainable partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be Australian organisations.
- Propose delegations comprising up to six Fellows or Partners.
- Focus on international meetings or collaborations that align with the program’s objectives.
