Fund details
1. Net Zero Industry – South West Wales
- Project Value: £25,000–£100,000
- Deadline: 11 December 2024
The competition is to support outstanding innovation projects led by businesses based in South West Wales. Businesses must be growing their innovation activities in the Net Zero sector.
Your project must:
- Have a total grant funding request between £25,000 and £100,000
- Last between 6 and 12 months
- Carry out all its project work in the UK
- Intend to exploit the results from or in the UK
- Not start before 1 April 2025
- End by 30 June 2023
2. Agri-Tech and Food Technology – Mid and North Wales
- Project Value: £25,000–£100,000
- Deadline: 11 December 2024
UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £1.5 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the agri-tech and food technology cluster.
Projects can focus on one or more of the following:
- Productivity or nutritional content
- Food processing or markets
- Sustainability or biodiversity
3. Life and Health Sciences – Northern Ireland
- Project Value: £25,000–£100,000 (MFA)/£150,000–£1 million (CRD&D)
- Deadline: 11 December 2024
Innovate UK will invest up to £4.3 million in innovation projects that target the life and health sciences innovation cluster in Northern Ireland.
This competition is split into two strands:
- Launchpad: Life and Health Sciences, Northern Ireland, Round 2 De Minimis or Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA)
- Launchpad: Life and Health Sciences, Northern Ireland, Round 2 Collaborative Research and Development (CR&D)
Projects can focus on one or more of the following:
- Diagnostics, therapeutics and biomarkers
- Data, digital and medical devices
- Innovations in healthcare service delivery
Projects can also consider the following enabling areas:
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum
- Advanced therapies, novel formulation or delivery
- Regulation or ethics
- Supporting innovation in skills development
To lead a project your business must:
- Be a UK-registered business of any size
- Be or involve at least one grant claiming micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- Collaborate with other UK-registered organisations
- Be growing its innovation activities in the life and health sciences cluster in Northern Ireland
- Have a demonstrable ambition for business growth
4. Immersive and Creative – Coventry and Warwickshire
- Project Value: £25,000–£100,000 (MFA)/£150,000–£1 million (CRD&D)
- Deadline: 11 December 2024
UK-registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £4.35 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the immersive and creative industries cluster centred on Coventry and Warwickshire in the West Midlands.
This competition is split into two strands:
- Launchpad: immersive and Creative, Coventry and Warwickshire, Collaborative Research and Development (CR&D), Round 2 (this strand)
- Launchpad: Immersive and Creative, Coventry and Warwickshire, Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA), Round 2
To lead this project, your business must:
- Be a UK-registered business of any size
- Be or involve at least one grant claiming micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- Collaborate with other UK-registered organisations
- Be growing its innovation activities in the immersive and creative industries cluster centred on Coventry and Warwickshire
- Have a demonstrable ambition for business growth
5. Bio-Based Manufacturing – Scotland
- Project Value: £25,000–£100,000 (MFA)/£150,000–£1 million (CRD&D)
- Deadline: 11 December 2024
UK-registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £5.25 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the bio-based manufacturing innovation cluster in Scotland.
This competition is split into two strands:
- Launchpad: Bio-Based Manufacturing Innovation in Scotland, Collaborative Research and Development (CR&D), Round 2
- Launchpad: Bio-Based Manufacturing Innovation in Scotland, Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA), Round 2
Your project must focus on one or more of the following:
- Industrial biotechnology
- Biomass supply chain development
- Sustainable production and manufacturing
Your project can focus on one or more of the following:
- Facilitating innovation in industrial biotechnology and enhancing its adoption across multiple sectors and industries
- Acceleration of biomass supply chain development
- Greening supply chains and transitioning industries towards sustainable production and manufacturing
- Supporting innovation in skills development
